Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel with collaborative research work of IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Roorkee they are trying to unveil the historical significance of Vadnagar.

 

Key features of the museum include:

  • Nine Thematic Galleries: Showcasing over 5,000 artifacts including coins, sculptures and tools to reflect the region’s vibrant past.
  • Immersive Experiences: The museum incorporates cutting-edge technology to provide visitors with engaging experiences of ancient life.
  • On-Site Excavation Views: Visitors can explore excavation areas through a 4,000-square-meter experiential walkway, with remains dating back 2,500 years.

The museum celebrates Vadnagar’s role as a critical link in ancient trade routes and its rich historical legacy ensuring global recognition for its archaeological importance.

 

Modern Sports Complex for Youth Empowerment

Aiming to nurture sporting talent, the Vadnagar Sports Complex has been inaugurated with world-class facilities. Built at a cost of ₹33.5 crore the 34,235-square-meter complex includes:

  • AstroTurf Football Field and synthetic athletic tracks.
  • Courts for basketball, volleyball, and kabaddi.
  • A 200-bed hostel, providing lodging for athletes and coaches.

This initiative aligns with Gujarat’s focus on creating modern sports infrastructure to encourage youth participation and excellence.

 

Heritage Development and Urban Beautification

The government has also launched projects to enhance Vadnagar’s cultural landmarks and urban appeal:

  • Kirti Toran Restoration: Efforts to preserve this iconic historical structure are underway.
